Production Team Leader

Due to continued expansion, a vacancy has arisen for an additional Production Team Leader at Janspeed Technologies Ltd.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Team Leader has responsibility to ensure that the production schedule is achieved on time in a busy factory environment. 

Typical tasks include;

  • Participation in production / management meetings
  • Allocation of operators / welders to their daily jobs in line with production requirements
  • Issuing and closing of works orders on the MRP system
  • Inventory discipline
  • Supervision and monitoring of their team members in their designated area of responsibility, ensuring that they work to all relevant work instructions
  • Ensuring compliance with rules regarding HS&E (Safety, PPE Etc.)

Qualified Engineers

We are looking for Senior & Junior qualified engineers.

Qualifications, skills and attributes:

  • Ideally educated to HND or Degree level in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong CATIA CAD skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods
  • Good communication skills

Knowledge of exhaust systems and automotive standards as a Tier 1 manufacturer is also desirable.

Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician

  • Improvements to machine availability and reduced downtime
  • Improvements to machine efficiency and performance
  • Achievement of Preventative Maintenance Plan
  • Carry out building maintenance duties as required.

Qualifications, skills and attributes:

  • Trained in an engineering discipline, ideally having completed an apprenticeship
  • Electrically trained to NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent, about to fault find (24-440 volt systems)
  • Experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems inc hydraulics
  • Experience of working on equipment with sensors and vision systems a distinct advantage
  • Ability to demonstrate strong team working with good interpersonal skills
  • Flexible to respond to changing priorities and able to work on own initiative.
  • Computer literate and able to use Microsoft office products (ECDL)
  • A positive and “Can Do” attitude
