Manufacturing Strategy

Using CAD to design assembly jigs and fixtures allows customer design modifications to be accommodated with minimal tooling outlay and simple replacement of critical jig parts.


The introduction of a 23 element APQP process to control projects with continual assessment from initial contract review, through conceptual design, team reviews, analysis, prototype manufacture, subsequent production and validation sign off.

Project Management

MS Project driven control of individual projects and overall capacity planning allows for the close monitoring of resource allocation, capacity requirements and comprehensive planning of the manufacturing process.


Janspeed Technologies Limited have been a leading manufacturer of bespoke and performance exhaust systems since 1962, covering Prototype and Pre-production through to Tier 1 & 2 Series production. We have held ISO9001 status since 2008 with TS1694 approval expected in 2017. Trim Finisher Manufacture
  • In house manufacture from one off concept through to production manufacture
Final Assembly

  • Fully calibrated 3 metre ITP table (CMM type) with Tube Expert software for verification of ‘first off’ tube manufacture through to complete assembly measurement

Baffle Plates
  • Rapid, low cost prototype tooling solution which can be transferred into production usage
  • UK sourced tooling design, tooling & component manufacture
  • Rapid delivery times for off tool parts
Hanger Bars
  • Internally manufactured TUBULAR 304 stainless steel hanger bars formed to CAD geometry
  • Offers significant weight, thermal and NVH performance. Janspeed developed process to offer competitive cost to solid equivalent

Complete Assembly Jig – Pneumatic brake holds in any position for efficient and accurate welding
